Unstoppable UK duo Morcheeba are returning to Australia for a national tour in March 2024. Last in the country in 2022, SKYE and Ross Godfrey are making a triumphant return down under taking in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Alongside their tour dates, Morcheeba will be playing the World of Arts, Music and Dance (WOMAD) festival in Adelaide and New Plymouth, New Zealand.
Known for classics like ”The Sea” and “Rome Wasn’t Built in a Day”, Morcheeba are renowned for their refined balance of influences including hip hop, soul, rock and electronica. Their most recent album, Blackest Blue, saw the band delve deep into their genre-mashing origins, boldly pushing forward with stories sourced from their own personal struggles.
Emerging in the 1990’s London trip-hop scene that birthed artists like Portishead and Massive Attack, Morcheeba’s unique sound has been effortlessly border-hopping ever since. The bands’ signature rich, mellow sound quickly became the soundtrack of chill out rooms in the late 90’s and early 00’s. The bands global reach has taken them to every corner of the world, with their organic approach to recording resulting in ten studio albums.
Whether you want to have a boogie or just relax and let the music wash over you, Morcheeba is calling your name. Don’t miss your chance for a transcendent live experience that defies genre pigeonholing and breaks down musical barriers. Adelaide and NZ fans are in for days of fun with Morcheeba playing alongside a stacked lineup at WOMAD.
